STORY
I'm Charley, the proud owner of The Balloon Alchemist, we are based in Ilkeston, Derbyshire.
Although The Balloon Alchemist officially launched in 2025, my journey with balloon artistry began in 2020.

It all started during the first COVID-19 lockdown when I was determined to make my daughter's 1st birthday truly special. That’s when I discovered my passion for balloon artistry and event planning.

Each year, as I created themed birthday parties for my daughter, featuring my own balloon garlands and other decorative touches, my love for this craft grew.
​
By 2024, my hobby had blossomed into something much bigger. Family and friends began reaching out for help with their own celebrations, trusting me to bring their visions to life.
​
That year, I poured my heart into planning several events, including my daughter's 5th birthday party, my auntie's 40th birthday celebration, and my best friend's baby shower. The overwhelming compliments and encouragement from guests at these events gave me the confidence to turn my passion into a business.

And that’s how The Balloon Alchemist came to be!
